Work Remotely

Must be comfortable teleworking from a professional environment (e.g. home office) with no distractions. 

Tech Savvy

Must be proficient with using the internet, online portals, web and mobile apps, and hosting/presenting web-based video conferencing.

Access Equipment

Must have: high speed internet, Windows 10 or macOS 10.7, high quality HD webcam and headset, and MS Office 2016 or newer.

Interpersonal Skills

Must have excellent professional verbal and written communication skills, the ability to collaborate in a team environment and the willingness to accept and apply feedback.

Tax Resolution Specialist

As a tax resolution specialist, you will act as the subject matter expert responsible and accountable for representing families and businesses with IRS and state tax debt and compliance problems. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Enrolled Agent who has specific training in the area of tax problem resolution.

We act as a strategic partner and adviser for our clients, so they always have us to turn to when they have a problem with the IRS or state tax authority.

Therefore, the ideal Tax Resolution Specialist will be able to identify client needs and the best strategy for resolving outstanding problems. We are in this with our clients for the long haul, so it is essential that our clients have exceptional experiences with us.

In this role you will be given the opportunity to help build our Taxley Membership program, serving as both a representative and advisor to our Taxley Members.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities include

  • Manage assigned case pipeline with continuous client follow up
  • Personal and business tax preparation
  • Correspond with federal and state tax authorities in regular representation of clients
  • Draft memorandums and letters of communication for clients and government officials
  • Analyze client’s tax situation, financials and their story to strategize sensible tax resolutions
  • Negotiate tax resolutions with the IRS and state tax authorities on behalf of clients
  • Conduct research to keep the team up to date on tax law changes, as it related to IRS and state resolution
  • Manage a high caseload while working in a fast-pace environment
  • Demonstrate patience and compassion as you translate complex tax issues into everyday language clients can understand
  • Maintain high quality customer service to increase membership retention
  • Collaborate with the Taxley team to assist in the design and strategy of custom solutions that meet the needs of our clients and simplify processes
  • Commit to upholding our Taxley values and presenting a professional image at all times

Education and Experience

  • Enrolled Agents preferred, will consider CPAs with demonstrated experience in tax resolution
  • Minimum of two years of professional tax resolution experience required
  • Minimum of two years of relationship management experience required
  • Experience communicating with the IRS and state tax authorities
  • Experience working independently and meeting deadlines

Account Executive

As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for building relationships with employers, HR professionals and entrepreneurs with the goal of increasing Taxley Membership enrollment. You will also be responsible for building relationships with schools and other relevant organizations to increase enrollment in The Taxley Academy.

We act as a strategic partner and adviser for our clients, so they always have us to turn to when they have a problem with the IRS or state tax authority.

As a company, we believe in blending our fast-paced environment and expertise with relationship building and integrity. Therefore, the ideal Account Executive will be able to identify and qualify potential prospects and opportunities based on the needs of the those we intend to serve.

Your first 90-days at Taxley are designed to incorporate comprehensive training and support to ensure you’ve got what you need to be successful.

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities amongst employers, HR professionals and entrepreneurs in your designated region
  • Conduct strategic discussions with decisions makers and key partners
  • Develop and manage pipeline activity resulting in new partnerships and Taxley Membership enrollments
  • Drive sales cycle with a sense of urgency ensuring clients’ expectations are met while achieving targeted Membership goals
  • Collaborate with Taxley and other team members to design and strategize custom solutions that meet the needs of our clients and simplify member acquisition
  • Identify and develop opportunities amongst schools, military spouse organizations, employers and professional organizations for the annual enrollment of students to The Taxley Academy

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent formal training in marketing, communications or business
  • Minimum of three years of professional marketing experience required
  • Minimum of three years of relationship management experience required
  • Experience closing sales in-person, by phone and online required

Compensation + Benefits: Competitive performance-based compensation plus bonuses.  Two weeks off every December.

Director of Business Development

As the Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for building key external relationships and managing Account Executives with the goal of increasing our Taxley Membership enrollment. You will be responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of strategies for long-term growth.

How we communicate our service offerings, including the Taxley Membership, is key to the long-term success of our efforts to serve.

As a company, we believe in blending our fast-paced environment with relationship building and integrity. Therefore, the ideal Director of Business Development will be able to identify and qualify potential prospects and opportunities based on the needs of the those we intend to serve.

We have zero tolerance for unethic sales and business development tactics, and expect that our Director of BD will be able to embody the Taxley values and help to embed it in our team.

In this role, you will largely focus on increasing our Taxley Membership enrollments with highly qualified tax resolution clients.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities amongst employers, HR professionals and entrepreneurs in your designated region
  • Lead sales presentations in person and over video conference to key external decision makers.
  • Develop and manage pipeline activity resulting in new partnerships and Taxley Memberships
  • Develop and manage team of Account Executive to ensure they are meeting stated goals
  • Perform market analysis to determine future customer, competitor, platforms, programs, products, and opportunities to pursue
  • Drive sales cycle with a sense of urgency ensuring clients’ expectations are met while achieving targeted Membership goals
  • Identify, structure, negotiate, and execute complex strategic partnerships with a wide array of partners.
  • Work effectively with C-Level executives at external partnerships to identify stakeholders, win deals and build long term partnerships.
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, product, operations, and legal/compliance teams to identify impactful opportunities and drive partnerships to deployment
  • Have the ability to deal with different personalities, overcome barriers to communication and find solutions
  • Execute a plan of attack for RFPs taking full ownership of the internal and external collaborative efforts needed to succeed
  • Uncover and track sales opportunities within existing and net new client accounts
  • Prioritize Taxley’s values in all areas of new client and partnership acquisition, as well as team management and daily task execution

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent advanced formal training and experience in marketing, communications or business
  • Minimum of seven years of successful marketing and business experience required
  • Minimum of seven years of relationship management experience required
  • Experience closing sales in-person, by phone and online required
  • Experience in responding to RFPs and preparing proposals
  • High level problem solving and analysis skills
  • Experience building senior level relationships internal and external to the organization
