tax resolution practice development

“The best tax resolution practices reinforce technical knowledge, sound judgment, disciplined processes, and the development of capable teams.”

– Anisha Bailey, EA, MSEL | Founder & CEO, Taxley

Firms often have the technical ability to perform tax resolution work but need stronger structure around how that work is assessed, managed, reviewed, and delivered. Taxley helps build that capability.

We are brought in at different stages of a firm’s development – from launching a new service line to strengthening an established practice or navigating a leadership transition.

Taxley - Tax Resolution for Entrepreneurs

Built From Operating the Practice

The Taxley methodology was shaped through years of direct case representation and by building the systems, processes, and infrastructure required to operate a tax resolution practice from the ground up.

  • Built the full client journey from consultation and qualification through onboarding, case delivery, resolution, and closeout.
  • Developed detailed financial analysis and information-gathering processes to support stronger resolution judgment.
  • Built CRM, workflow, and automation systems that reduced manual administration and unnecessary per-user technology expense.
  • Created engagement processes, client forms, service standards, policies, communication protocols, and operating procedures.
  • Developed systems that improved client access while protecting practitioner time and availability as they manage multiple cases.
  • Hired, trained, and supervised tax practitioners and support staff while developing internal procedures and review practices.
  • Designed a custom client portal and case-management environment for communication, case status, scheduling, documents, and support.
  • Built tax resolution strategies around the taxpayer’s broader financial and operational circumstances rather than treating collection alternatives in isolation.

Real Client Outcomes

Fractional & Interim Leadership

Some practice development engagements require experienced leadership during implementation, transition, or the search for a permanent leader. Taxley can step in temporarily to stabilize the practice, develop internal capability, and prepare the firm for transition.

A Note From the Founder

Anisha Bailey, EA, MSEL

For nearly two decades, I’ve helped entrepreneurs navigate tax, financial, and operational challenges – first in large-firm tax, then through building and operating Taxley.

I’ve personally represented 500+ tax resolution matters, built the systems and processes behind an independent practice, and trained practitioners and staff.

That experience now informs the Taxley Methodology: a practical approach grounded in sound judgment, comprehensive taxpayer analysis, disciplined case management, strong communication, and processes firms can sustain on their own.

The goal: stronger tax resolution capability without long-term dependence on Taxley.
