ExplorEA™ is a web-based career exploration experience that introduces you to the Enrolled Agent (EA) profession, an in-demand career path at the intersection of tax law, entrepreneurship, and financial strategy.

If you want meaningful work with real responsibility and a career path you can build a life on, this is your entry point.

Small businesses rely on professionals who understand the systems that shape financial outcomes.

Enrolled Agents nationwide. Join a respected profession with real opportunity and upward mobility.

Competitive earning potential for EAs specializing in tax resolution & business advocacy (varies by role scope, location, and experience).

Real Impact. Real Stability. Real Opportunity. No Degree Required.

Small businesses power our communities, but too many struggle because they don’t get the right support early, before problems become expensive and destabilizing. Taxley exists to help change that by developing advisor-ready Enrolled Agents trained for proactive support and confident advocacy when problems escalate.

ExplorEA™ is Taxley’s workforce development initiative that’s focused on giving structured exposure to the EA profession – because what matters is capability, professionalism, and the ability to think clearly under pressure..

Unlock the Power of the Enrolled Agent Career Path

Enrolled Agents (EAs) hold the IRS’s highest federal credential in tax law and are authorized to represent taxpayers before all levels of the IRS. That federal authority matters – and the EA opportunity goes beyond filing and fixing.

Behind the storefronts, service businesses, and growing startups, entrepreneurs are making high-stakes decisions that shape their income, their stability, and the life they’re building.

Too often, they’re navigating tax, financial, and operational systems without the right support early – so preventable issues become expensive, stressful, and hard to unwind once they’re in motion.

Taxley-trained EAs are strategically positioned to fill that gap. This role blends tax law and advocacy with proactive, real-world business and financial strategy – helping entrepreneurs see options earlier, choose structure intentionally, and protect both the business they’re building and the life it supports.

This is where ExplorEA™ comes in.

ExplorEA is a 6-week, web-based career exploration and pre-apprenticeship readiness experience designed to help you see whether the EA profession aligns with your desire for meaningful work, real responsibility, and long-term stability.

Inside ExplorEA, you’ll get structured exposure to:

  • how EAs connect tax law, personal finance, and business advisory to support entrepreneurs
  • what EA work actually looks like in the real-world – expectations, responsibility
  • a case-style simulation using realistic decision points
  • clear next-step EA career direction based on your fit and goals

No degree required. What is required is competency in tax law, professionalism, and a commitment to ethical standards.

This Profession Goes Further Than Most People Expect

Most people think “tax career” means one season, one lane, one skillset. The EA path is different. It’s built on tax law, financial reality, and advocacy – skills that show up wherever money moves, compliance matters, and someone needs a clear next step under pressure. The need for these skill sets show up across every industry, including:

Tax Law & IRS Controversy

Work alongside attorneys and EAs to help families and entrepreneurs restore peace of mind when navigating tax issues.

REAL ESTATE & Property OPERATIONS

Support property owners by tracking income, expenses, compliance, and cash flow across single or multi-property operations.

Sports & Entertainment

Work alongside agents and advisory teams to help athletes and entertainers manage income, taxes, and financial structure.

HEALTHCARE & MEDICAL GROUPS

Support medical groups with compliance tracking, financial reporting, and cash flow insight so clinicians can focus on care.

CONSTRUCTION & TRADE OPERATIONS

Support construction and trade companies with job costing, payroll coordination, compliance, and cash flow tracking.

FINTECH & TAX TECHNOLOGY

Apply tax and business knowledge within product, compliance, QA, or support teams building tools for entrepreneurs and firms.

Where you start doesn’t have to be where you stay – this career expands as your capability grows.

Anisha Bailey, EA, MSEL

Anisha Bailey didn’t follow a straight career path – and that’s the point.

After earning a marketing degree, she pivoted into accounting and discovered the Enrolled Agent profession almost by accident.

That unplanned shift became a long-term career built inside complex tax resolution and business advisory work – where outcomes depended less on memorizing tax law and more on professional judgment, systems thinking, and clarity under pressure.

ExplorEA was created for people at a similar crossroads – capable, curious, and ready to explore what’s next without starting over.

Her mission is simple: open doors, expand possibilities, and help people build careers with stability, purpose, and upward mobility – without unnecessary barriers.
