The Workshop
Our Explorer Workshops are designed to expose high school students and adults to the Enrolled Agent career path, before making the time and financial commitment necessary to pursue it. This is a great first step for those interested in corporate, government, or small business careers in tax law and consulting. The scope of the workshop includes:
INTRO TO
PERSONAL FINANCE
With a foundational understanding of personal financial management, participants will learn about banking, credit, income sources, and budgeting, as they build collaboration and critical thinking skills.
INTRO TO ENTREPRENEURSHIP
+ BUSINESS FINANCE
Participants will be introduced to the six elements of entrepreneurship, as well as basic accounting principles, financial statements, and small business profit planning.
INTRO TO TAX LAW
+ TAXPAYER ADVOCACY
With a focus on personal tax law and a brief overview of business tax, participants will learn about tax filing and payment requirements, how to assess W2 payroll withholding, and the role of Enrolled Agents in taxpayer advocacy.

Yes. To participate in our apprenticeship academy, you must take the Explorer Workshop.
Using the power of the internet, all of our workshops and trainings are held 100% online.
Yes! In fact they are highly encouraged to participate and start their career exploration as soon as possible.
Students must be at least 16 years old by the time the workshop starts. All prospective students under 18 must obtain parental/legal guardian consent, which will be explained during the registration process.
No. This is considered an exploratory workshop, so just come as you are, ready to learn, meet new people, and have fun!
Designed for busy students and working adults, we estimate that participants can plan to spend, on average, 8-hours per week in this workshop.
We offer asynchronous learning, that blends on-demand lessons with live mentor sessions. Attending live mentor sessions are highly encouraged, but if you can’t attend, the session will be recorded and accessible for a limited time.
Yes. Withdrawal requests submitted up to 3-days from your registration date will receive a full refund minus a 20% administrative fee. There are no refunds after this 3-day period.
Our refund policy is clearly communicated in our Terms of Training for participants prior to completing registration.
